Plot Theme:- Story Of A Dog & His Master. The journey of their life together
Movie starts from the perspective of the young guy played by Owen Wilson who just got married to an ambitious wise loving beautiful girl played by Jennifer Aniston. She has plan for every phase of life. After marriage they both starts job hunting. They both get what they deserve. Our guy (OWEN WILSON) has a normal cool attitude towards things. Got good college life, better grades, beautiful & wise wife, good job, great it seems like a perfect his wife now pick the plan of having baby so just for some time divert her from that baby making plan & enjoy the life’s early phase he brings home a puppy- Marley.
Thus with time Marley grows so does our narrator Owen Wilson & their fun run along. Marley grows in size looks like a giant dog but still remains a puppy inside When asked to heal he tries to run & drag his master along, when asked to sit quite & don’t chew on furniture – He is gonna love to disobey WOW. Marley once went to dog training session & end with leg humping the trainer of course his got his butt kicked out of that class with his master. Owen Wilson Jokingly calls him world’s worst dog.
In narrators life things changes he became columnist from a reporter & he think that’s a trouble but as day passes he realizes that he is good columnist. Some of his unmarried fiend from college still chasing his dream of being best reporter & he is trying where our guy Owen Wilson try to buy new home. Then the responsibility increases with Jennifer’s pregnancy & then first miscarriage they became sad but all those days the only one is always with them Marley relaxing them & Making them laugh by doing the normal dog things like stealing Jennifer’s cloths & Getting frightened by thunderstorm.
Then they start their family which grows from one boy to 2 boys & 1 girl Every time Marley is with them Jennifer leaves her job for kids & get frustrated they fight & reunite Marley is with them. They get bigger house & Owen Wilson changes his job from columnist to reporter but he is unsatisfied yet. He saw his friend back then still chasing his dream & he realizes things never changed for his friend & he got everything just grown mature with his dog. Who now owns a title of world’s worst dog by doing some stunt on dog only beach.
Then one day Marley gives a sign of aging his stomach twists. With time Marley stops dragging his master & now walks with him showing the sign of aging. Doctor gave up on Marley. Owen Wilson realizes the truth Chasing is not everything, what you have is much more precious.
At the end Marley leaves the world. Making viewers eyes wet. In theatre I saw some people cry.
Mesmerizing experience I can say. After Movie you will truly think about your own pet. If you cat person it doesn’t matter. If you don’t have any pet you will surely look forward to get one.
In acting department Jennifer did a great job ambitious romantic newly wed to caring responsible loving mother with all those frustration moments, sad moments, happy moments she made all look like real.
Owen Wilson carried a good attitude of cool guy & his suffocation when he has to loose it & enter in responsibility. He did good but lacked in an emotional manner at the end but he did a good job.
Over all this is a great movie to watch in every phase of life. Teaches you something about life. entertains you a lot makes you think. Most importantly assures you about your pet.
